about
Dave has been recording all of our material since we started working on stuff again in 2014 (although it is interesting to note that he tracked the vocals for Awake? clear back in 09). So as we were sending in requests to him for what every remixer needed and for what songs, he shyly asked if he could take a stab at a track. We said "why not?" - which has also been our internal motto for a year or two now.
He really brought out the dread in Weeping Vessel. He wasn't sure if we were going to like it. We did. So much so that we used it in the album trailer video.
Dave operates out of the Church Recording studio in Pittsburgh where we currently record (www.thechurchrecordingstudio.com) and is constantly taunting us with photos of people like Willie Nelson, Van Morrison and Tom Hanks as reasons our mixes are being held up.

There isnt a single album on this earth more important to me than Drawing Black Lines. it was the first CD I ever bought with my own money. and probably my most listened to album of all time. Lyndon Harvey

I love the light and shade between Bryan's dirty and Emma's forlorn vocals. There are so many layers to this recording that are driven home through contrast. Plus the riffs are brilliant and get me moving. I can't stop listening to Thou and Emma in general lately. spaceman2250
