about
Emanuel Ayvas is the main songwriter/band leader of Emanuel and the Fear - of which Jeff has been a member for about 10 years. He is also in the band Pale Ramon. On top of that he just made a solo piano record. He once wrote an opera. He makes noise.
The common theme with Emanuel is he pays attention to words. He is really good at framing words or a story in an appropriate musical world, so we handed him Apocalypse, just to see what happened.
He warned us before he handed it over, he said “It IS called Apocalypse”.

There isnt a single album on this earth more important to me than Drawing Black Lines. it was the first CD I ever bought with my own money. and probably my most listened to album of all time. Lyndon Harvey

I love the light and shade between Bryan's dirty and Emma's forlorn vocals. There are so many layers to this recording that are driven home through contrast. Plus the riffs are brilliant and get me moving. I can't stop listening to Thou and Emma in general lately. spaceman2250
